Tattooing of a Koita (New Guinea) girl who has reached a marriageable
age. The decoration is begun when she is about five years old, and is
added to year by year as she gets older. The V-shaped marks on the
chest, with certain others, are done last, and are an indication that
the girl is marriageable.
